ST. LOUIS, April 16, 2013—The names of three men will appear on the ballot for Synod president during voting to be conducted this June in advance of the 65th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, held in July.

ST. LOUIS, April 11, 2013—Save the date! The 13th triennial Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) National Youth Gathering (Gathering) is set for July 16–20, 2016. The location for the event will be revealed at this summer’s Gathering in San Antonio.
The Rev. Berhanu Ofgaa, general secretary of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus, talks about his March 27 visit with LCMS leaders in St. Louis.
This year, the congregations’ voting delegates to their 2012 district conventions will elect the president of the Synod before the convention starts July 20.
The Synod’s official periodicals, “Reporter” and “The Lutheran Witness,” receive a total of eight “Best of the Christian Press Awards” from the Associated Church Press.
A new video, “From Horror to Hope: Haiti 2013,” highlights how the Synod’s body-and-soul response to the 2010 earthquake there continues to make a difference to Haitians.
