On November 21–22, 2022, representatives from The Lutheran Church—Canada (LCC) and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) met in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to discuss the work and scope of the LCMS English and SELC Districts in Canada.
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod has awarded 48 grants during Phase 2 of the 1 John 3 Initiative Million Dollar Life Match. The program, which offers a total of $1 million in matching grants, seeks to support LCMS congregations involved in providing beginning-of-life care in their local communities.
St. Martin Lutheran School for the Deaf accepts students from preschool through eighth grade and operates in space provided by Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School in Dearborn, Mich.
In September, representatives from the LCMS gathered in Kisumu, Kenya, with representatives from 34 of the Synod’s partner churches to discuss the work of the confessional Lutheran church around the world.
Recipients of the scholarship must be studying to become Lutheran pastors, deaconesses or Christian evangelists serving in Africa LCMS partner churches.
An undesignated gift to the LCMS enhances domestic and international efforts to witness, show mercy to others and live life together as children of God.
