The resolution calls Concordia University Texas to repentance for seeking to separate itself from Synod governance.
On Nov. 8, 2022, the Concordia University Texas Board of Regents voted to separate CTX from Synod governance.
On Nov. 8, the Board of Regents of Concordia University Texas, Austin, Texas, voted to designate itself the university’s “sole governing body.”
Among other items, the COP discussed the Concordia University System, and the BOD reviewed the Synod’s financial position.
Our Bylaws make clear: All are to carry out responsibilities “in a manner reflecting the highest degree of integrity and honesty consistent with the Scriptures, the Lutheran Confessions, the Constitution, Bylaws, and resolutions of the Synod.”
