Lutheran leaders from five continents will gather in 2015 in Wittenberg, Germany, to focus on celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017.
“The Lutheran Witness” receives an “Award of Merit” in the “Denominational” category and wins fourth place in the “Single-Theme Section or Issue” category from the Evangelical Press Association.
LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison and Patti Garibay, national executive director of American Heritage Girls, sign a document that outlines how the two organizations will work together.
The district presidents also meet with seminary faculty and hear reports from LCMS President Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison and LCMS Secretary Rev. Dr. Raymond Hartwig.
Those involved with the project in Wittenberg, Germany, are moving steadily toward completion of this venue for Lutheran education and platform for Gospel proclamation.
