Bethesda Lutheran Communities — an LCMS Recognized Service Organization — provides homes and other services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In March, Ambassadors of Reconciliation, an LCMS Recognized Service Organization, provided reconciliation training for Rwandan pastors and laypeople affected by the 1994 genocide.
Participants in the event, titled “Joy:fully Serving,” will prepare 275 baskets for distribution by two Florida-based LCMS Recognized Service Organizations.
Ten scholarships totaling $30,000 are available for individuals who plan to enhance the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The month is an opportunity to support individuals with developmental disabilities, to spread awareness about the progress that has been made, and to reflect on what more can be done.
Volunteers at some 160 ministry centers across the United States produce Christian materials in multiple languages for distribution in more than 130 countries.
