The Rev. Dr. Tom Ries, president of Concordia University, St. Paul, Minn., has announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2018–19 academic year.
Celebrate all that God has done through Concordia College Alabama, Selma, Ala. Praise Him for His grace and trust in Him for the future. Sadly, Concordia is closed. Nevertheless, we pray that God continues the work begun through the faculty, staff and students over the years.
Meeting in St. Louis May 18–19, the LCMS Board of Directors adopted a fiscal year 2019 operations budget of $69.4 million, a figure nearly $8 million lower than that of the current fiscal year, which ends June 30.
